We are happy to announce that our Viewer Software has been awarded funding by the European Commission’s Framework Program Horizon 2020 SME Instrument. This is PANATOMY’s second EU Funding within it’s spin-off from the Charité University Hospital in early 2015 and another proof for the groth potential and broad support invested in our innovative visual imaging diagnostics software.
As part of the programme, the Commission is hand-picking potentially disruptive businesses to invest and support as part of the SME Instrument. The businesses receive between 50.000 EUR to 2.5 M EUR (Phase 2) in cash funding from the commission for feasibility studies and proof of market activities. According to the official statement by the European Commission (available here), 2057 proposals have been reveived under Phase 1 (November 2015), the fourth and last cut-off date for 2015, of which 8.4% were elected for funding. The 185 SMEs that will receive funds proposed 175 projects in total (multiple SMEs can be involved in one project). Amongst the SMEs are 11 companies from Germany. Requirements for the program were a qualification as high growth, highly innovative SMEs and global ambitions to disrupt established value networks and existing markets.
The full list of companies that are funded in this last call of the SME Instrument Phase 1 Program is available here.
With the funding we will further enlargen the scope of product testing and market entry preparation.
